Warehouse Revolution: How Artificial Intelligence Is Transforming Warehouse Management in 2025
AI is transforming warehouse management in 2025 with automation, predictive analytics, and scalable pyck.ai solutions.
Imagine warehouse software that is not bought but built. Software created by the people who actually work with it every day. Not as a product you have to adapt to, but as something that grows out of real processes. That is where Pyck comes from.
TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS feels like the right place for this conversation. It is one of the few environments where software is not discussed in isolation, but in the context of real warehouses and real constraints. In Dortmund, the focus is not on polished stories. It is on trying things out, asking uncomfortable questions and learning from what works and what does not. All program details are available online.
This year, our presence at TEST CAMP comes with an additional perspective. Pyck is a finalist for the IFOY Startup of the Year Award and one of four nominees for the Spinoff Award. During the event, our software will be looked at in real scenarios, not as a concept, but as something that has to hold up in practice. Criteria such as quality, functionality and customer benefit matter more here than catchy ideas.
Being part of the IFOY process is not about collecting labels. For us, it is a useful checkpoint. A moment to reflect on a direction we chose early on. We deliberately moved away from large, closed WMS platforms and toward an open toolkit approach. Not because it was fashionable, but because rigid systems rarely survive contact with real warehouse operations. The award ceremony will take place on June 25, 2026, in Stuttgart. Long before that, the conversations around TEST CAMP already provide the more valuable feedback.

Pyck is an open source toolkit for warehouse software. We are not trying to define the one right way to run a warehouse. Instead, we focus on giving teams the freedom to build, adapt and improve their own processes over time.
Working with Pyck means having visibility and control over what happens in the system. Processes are understandable. Data is accessible. Development is not hidden behind contracts or roadmaps you cannot influence. There is no vendor lock in and no black box logic. Pyck can replace parts of a traditional WMS step by step and makes it easier to introduce new technologies like AI or robotics where they actually help. Building your own warehousing software is less a statement and more a consequence of how diverse warehouse environments really are.
TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS is not built around slogans. Software is expected to show how it behaves when things get complex. Different viewpoints are encouraged, and disagreement is part of the process. That aligns well with how Pyck has evolved. Through hands on testing, feedback from practitioners and many small adjustments rather than long term master plans.
On site, the discussions often move quickly from software architecture to operational details. From abstract ideas to concrete problems. And that is where things become interesting. In the end, it is the people and the conversations that shape better solutions.
Being named an IFOY finalist gives additional context to our time at TEST CAMP. But the main reason for being there remains unchanged. To listen, to exchange experiences and to think together about what warehousing software should look like in practice.
